Australia's role in The Korean War
Australian troops were involved in many battles in Korea, with great skill and bravery. Along with the support of the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), in the skies, they were a huge help to the UN’s mission of stopping the communist countries offensive.

During a night of fierce fighting and throughout the daylight hours of 24 April the Australian troops fought alongside the Canadians and New Zealand troops to stall the Chinese advance. At a cost of 32 men killed, they had helped stop the Chinese invasion, on Kapyong valley and killed more than 500 Chinese troops who later on withdrew their attack.
